Rehearsal and Performance Schedule

    April 26, 2010

Wow!  What can I say Legends, you have indeed done it again.  We have not only survived a tough year, but have risen to the occasion to pull off yet another outstanding performance  Thanks to all for your participation, and talent.  The performance was intense and exciting.  The standing "O" at the end(though I could not see it, I could hear it) was very gratifying and an apt reward for all of our dedication and work towards this year's corps.  There were about 10 people in the audience who actually marched in the 1990 Boston Crusaders.  It was especially gratifying to me to hear from them that they loved our performance of a show they had performed 20 years ago!  Everyone who spoke to me was most congratulatory, and I pass  their acolades on to you.  The Head of DCA was in attendance and was suitably blown away by your performance.  He has invited us to perform in Rochester at the DCA Alumni Show!(We have gratefully declined his invitation, but do so proudly).

Thanks to The Legends, MassBrass, The Defenders, and The Muchachos, we were able to present Edna and David Correia a card with our best wishes and a generous monetary gift to help them as they continue to fight the good fight.  They have asked me to pass their heartfelt thanks on to you, and I am so doing.

So, whew!  Enjoy your Summer.  Every good wish to all of the local corps as you enter your Summer season.  We look forward to reuniting next October with another great Legends Corps, hopefully bigger, hopefully better, but regardless, united in fun, great music, and a common purpose.

Cisco, Steve and myself will be meeting shortly to plan for next year.  As of right now, we will be performing at the 2011 Mass HOF Banquet on April 23, 2011, and we are exploring a possible appearance at the G.A.S. Reunion which will be around the 1st weekend in May.

Matt Warner has graciously put both "Captain" and "Fanfare" in a Sebelius format. This means that if you e mail him, he can send you a printed copy of "Fanfare"(as opposed to my hand written version).  He can also send you a file with just your part that you can use as a rehearsal tool!  His edress is Warner-m@comcast.net

On behalf of Cisco, Steve, and myself, and all of the other members of the Legends, we thank you for making the Legends what it has become thanks to your participation and talent.
